A hospital system in Bergen County. NJ is currently seeking a board certified or board eligible Gastroenterologist hospitalist for a full-time, hospital employed position to meet the growing needs of the community.
About this Opportunity:
- Onsite
- Work Schedule: 7 on 7 off, 12 hour shifts
- Call Schedule: 1:4
- Work Setting:100% inpatient
Responsibilities:
The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for:
- Examining & obtaining medical history and treating acute & chronic illnesses
- Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Creating treatment plans and involving patients & family members in those plans
- Initiating appropriate specialty referrals
- Collaborating on the improvement in care delivery and service with management, other Physicians and staff
- Working with Practice Management to ensure compliance with billing and coding requirements
- Performing procedures at the Endoscopy Center
- Rounding in the hospital
- 7 on 7 off
- Inpatient
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey
- Board Eligible / Certified
- Experience in an Inpatient/Outpatient role/setting
- Previous experience with the Adult population
