Opportunity:
Board Certified - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
• Hospital and call coverage only (no clinic responsibilities) • 24-hour call with hospital rounding in-house for 8 hours (procedures and rounding) • Perform 1-2 scopes per day, with flexible rounding time depending on consultative service volume • Handle 1-2 new patient consults daily with approximately 5-6 patients to round on per day • Perform various GI procedures including colonoscopy, biopsy, polypectomy, proctoscopy/flexible sigmoidoscopy • Conduct hemorrhoidal banding, upper GI endoscopy, PEG, esophageal variceal banding • Manage acute GI bleeding, perform dilation procedures and manage hospitalized GI patients • ERCP experience highly preferred (1-2 procedures per week) - candidates with this certification move to top of list • General GI experience acceptable but ERCP capabilities preferred • Work with RNs and CRNAs for support in the endoscopy room • Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC • Must be board certified with active or pending state license (IMLC considered) • Must maintain BLS and DEA certifications • Clean malpractice history preferred • Self-Query NPDB report (within 30 days) required for presentation • Case logs will be requested for review • Immediate needs for Nov 23-29 and Dec 23-Jan 3
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
