Opportunity OverviewA highly compensated Gastroenterology Hospitalist opportunity is available at a large, well-established 450-bed acute care hospital in Long Beach. The hospital is part of a respected nonprofit integrated healthcare system known for clinical excellence, advanced specialty care, and a strong commitment to patient-centered medicine.
This is an adult-only inpatient gastroenterology role at a Level II Trauma Center, offering a high-acuity case mix with excellent hospital support and resources.
Schedule & Coverage Model-
7 days on / 7 days off hospitalist schedule

Minimum commitment: 21 weeks per year

Remaining coverage provided by community gastroenterologists

One physician already hired into the program
-
ERCP training required
-
Advanced fellowship training preferred

Competitive base salary plus productivity compensation

Quality incentive: approximately 10%

Sign-on and retention bonus (paid over two years)

Productivity bonus begins after defined RVU threshold

Total compensation potential up to $753,000, inclusive of incentives
