This medical center is a well-established healthcare facility serving the Walla Walla community and surrounding areas. The hospital features an 8-bed gastroenterology department and provides comprehensive care with state-of-the-art technology and a supportive professional environment.
Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
• Part-time, long-term locum coverage working 2 weeks per month
• Primarily inpatient coverage with 12-hour shifts (7a-7p) with night call after shift
• Weekend coverage includes 24-hour call
• May work 1 day a week in outpatient clinic (returning to hospital to complete 12-hour shift after clinic)
• Overtime applies after 12 hours per day (not 40 hours per week)
• Board certification required
• Washington state license or IMLC required
• Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
• Required procedures: Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices
• Esophageal dilatation required
• Small bowel biopsy required
• Lower GI endoscopy required
• Flexible sigmoidoscopy required
• Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision required
• Fellowship trained
• Level 3 trauma facility
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
