Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology Petoskey, MI

The position involves covering outpatient and inpatient scopes, with a focus on ERCP procedures, and includes weekend call responsibilities. Play a vital role in patient care, supporting hospital operations alongside dedicated staff, including physicians and advanced practice providers.

Required Skills:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Board-certified or eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Valid and current medical license in Michigan or eligible for licensure
  • Proven proficiency in ERCP procedures
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hospital environment

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
  • Prior locum tenens or hospital-based gastroenterology experience
  • Excellent teamwork and adaptability skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology fellowship program
  • Minimum of 2 years post-fellowship clinical experience in a hospital setting

Other Requirements:
  • Flexibility to cover specific scheduled dates beginning March 1, 2026
  • Weekend and holiday call availability
  • Ability to comply with hospital policies and state regulations
  • No travel or lodging arrangements are provided; expenses are covered according to policy
