Job description
ATC West Healthcare Services is recruiting Board-Certified Gastroenterologists to provide 24-hour call coverage in Michigan, with an ongoing need through 2026. This hospital-based role requires ERCP coverage and offers weekday-only call with no weekend responsibility. Providers will work in a community setting with strong hospitalist support and convenient access to a nearby GI clinic.

Friday: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm (12-hour coverage)

Job Details & Responsibilities
-
Provide inpatient GI consults and ERCP coverage while on call
-
Deliver in-house and night call coverage Monday–Thursday, with partial in-house coverage on Fridays

Collaborate with hospitalist services and two colorectal surgeons in the community
-
Practice in a hospital-supported GI environment with clinic located less than 0.5 miles from the hospital

Serve a community offering a small-town atmosphere with waterfront amenities

Use Doc Time for reverse billing and time tracking (no paper timesheets)
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Board Certified in Gastroenterology – Required (Board Eligible not accepted)

ERCP proficiency – Required
-
Active Michigan medical license – Required
-
IMLC accepted only if dates are 60+ days out with LOQ

DEA registration – Required at start
-
No malpractice history – Required, no exceptions

NPDB self-query within 30 days at presentation – Required

Ability to comply with reverse billing/timekeeping via Doc Time

Local providers preferred
Employee Health & Compliance Requirements:

Influenza vaccine (2024–2025 season)

COVID-19 documentation or declination
-
TB screening (2-step skin test within 12 months or Quantiferon within 6 months)

Hepatitis B, MMR, and Varicella (vaccines or immunity titers)
-
TDAP within the last 10 years
