Job description
ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterology (GI) provider for ASAC coverage in a hospital-based setting. The role focuses on high-volume endoscopy services, including ERCP, with no weekday night call and a predictable weekday schedule. Providers will work alongside an established onsite GI team with full hospital support services.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm

Call: 24-hour weekend call only (no weekday night call)

Job Details & Responsibilities
-
Provide GI services in a hospital-based clinic setting
-
Perform endoscopy coverage and ERCP procedures (required)
-
Manage GI consults during scheduled hours (7:00 am – 4:30 pm)

Daily volume includes approximately 18 outpatient scopes and 20 inpatient scopes
-
Collaborate with onsite support staff including 2 physicians and 2 APPs

Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation

Access to full onsite services including laboratory and X-ray
-
Participate in reverse invoicing using DocTime for time tracking
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
Board Certified in Gastroenterology – Required
-
ERCP proficiency – Required
-
Active Michigan medical license and CSR at time of submission – Required

DEA registration (verbal confirmation at name clear) – Required
-
ACLS certification – Required
-
Completed GI fellowship with minimum 2–3 years of post-training experience – Required

Local candidate driving in – Required
-
Clean background with no adverse actions (minimum malpractice acceptable) – Required

COVID-19 vaccination – Required
-
NPDB self-query within 30 days at presentation – Required

Ability to provide IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ) if applicable (dates must be 60+ days out)
Additional Health & Compliance Requirements:

Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella (vaccine series or immunity titers)

Influenza vaccine (current season)
-
TB screening within 12 months
-
TDAP within the last 10 years
