Job Title: Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology
Join us in Bay City, Michigan for an exciting opportunity in Gastroenterology!
We are seeking dedicated Gastroenterologists for 24-hour call coverage at a reputable facility. Located in the heart of Bay City, our medical center offers a small-town atmosphere with the amenities of a big city, including beautiful waterfront views. The practice has ongoing coverage needs through 2026 with a favorable schedule that includes no weekend call.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide 24-hour call coverage from Monday 7am to Thursday 7am and 12-hour coverage on Friday from 7am to 7pm.
- Perform ERCP procedures as required.
- Collaborate with hospitalists and two colorectal surgeons in the community.
- Work at a GI clinic located less than half a mile from the hospital.
- Support ongoing patient care and ensure high-quality gastroenterology services.
Qualifications:
- Board certified in Gastroenterology.
- ERCP credentials are a must.
- Local providers preferred; out-of-state providers will not have flight coverage.
- No malpractice history is required for quick credentialing.
- Ability to comply with all site-specific billing protocols.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current Michigan medical license (required).
- DEA certification (required).
- Proof of vaccinations: Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu (for the current season), TB (within 12 months), TDAP (within the last 10 years), and Covid documentation.
- Submission of NPDB self-query within 30 days of presentation (required).
