Ali'i Health Center (AHC) was formed in 2007 and has experienced tremendous growth since its inception. AHC brings Primary Care and Specialty services such as; Cardiology, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Women’s Health and Urology to the Big Island Community. We are currently looking for a Gastroenterologist to be part of our fast-growing organization in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
Position will coordinate course of treatment for patients with a variety of disorders, diseases, or irregularities that pertain to the digestive tract. Will also perform endoscopies.

Job Responsibilities
Consulting with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns.
Prescribing tests, treatments, and/or performing colonoscopies, when necessary.
Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests and/or treatments prescribed, and test results.
Performing tests, when needed, to check the health of patients' digestive tract.
Interpreting test results to determine how effectively the digestive tract is functioning.
Performing endoscopies at our Ambulatory Surgery Center and local hospital.
Prescribing medication for digestive tract issues.
Providing support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
3 to 7 years internship and clinical residency training, specializing in Gastroenterology.
