Facility:
This facility is a well-established medical center with a highly accomplished Endoscopy Unit team. The center features 4 procedure rooms/Endo Suites equipped with modern technology including Olympus equipment, hydrogen breath testing, and capsule endoscopy capabilities. The facility uses Cerner, gGastro, and Athena electronic medical record systems.

Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
• Coverage dates: 3/25 (orientation), 3/26-3/30, 4/16-4/20, 6/12-6/15, 12/11-12/14 • Monday-Friday schedule: 9-hour shift with 1-hour lunch (8 hours billable) plus 15-hour overnight call • Weekend call: 24 hours • Average 12 patients per day for procedures, fewer inpatients • Provider must be MI licensed with full availability for all required dates • Perform various procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, and PEG/PEG-J tube placement • ERCP/EUS experience preferred • Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration, and injection of varices • ERCP diagnostic and therapeutic procedures required • Esophageal dilation/manometry and interpretation • Lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy • Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) required • Liver biopsy and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management preferred • No scribe provided; provider responsible for all charting and work completion • Must review pathology and communicate with nurses regarding patient results and follow-up • Board certification required • ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required • Credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days • Nearest airport: Sawyer Regional • Lodging recommendations: Best Western Plus
