Job description
We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for inpatient locum coverage in California’s Central Valley, offering a high-impact role with a robust procedural schedule and strong team support. This locum opportunity combines prime-time procedure coverage with 24/7 call, providing a wide range of advanced GI cases.
Schedule & Coverage:
• Onsite coverage 4–6 hours/day for prime-time GI procedures.
• Remainder of the day 24/7 on-call.
• 10–15 days per month with predictable scheduling.
• Immediate start once credentialed.
Clinical Responsibilities:
• ERCP, dilation, sphincterotomy, stent placement.
• Endoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, esophageal dilatation, biopsies, foreign body removal.
• GI bleed management, banding, polypectomies, sclerotherapy.
• EUS preferred but not required.
Requirements:
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Active California medical license.
• DEA registration and ACLS certification required.
• Clean malpractice history preferred.
Support & Infrastructure:
• Dedicated nurses and endoscopy technicians.
• EMR: Cerner.
• Facility with high procedural volume and strong patient demand.
