## Gastroenterologist | Conway, SC Grand Strand — 10 Miles from Myrtle Beach Base Salary: $700,000 (Negotiable Based on Experience) | Income Potential: $1,000,000+ ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent position * Schedule: Approximately 80% lab / 20% clinic — consultation services only for inpatient coverage; consults and rounding performed by physician on call * Autonomy: Single-site model integrating ASC, clinic, and hospital for maximum efficiency — call advancing from 1 in 4 to 1 in 6 as team grows * Setting: Outpatient clinic, endoscopy suite, and inpatient consultation — single-site integrated model * Call: Currently 1 in 4 — advancing to 1 in 6 * PSLF eligible ## Practice Overview Seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join a busy Digestive Health service line with strong patient demand and 3+ week wait times: * Join 4 physicians and 3 APPs — inpatient NP joining February 2026 * Average clinic volume: 20–25 patients per day; 11–12 patients per day for procedures * Endoscopy suite: 7,000+ cases annually with 180 and 190 HD scopes and brand-new C-Arms * EUS: 236+ cases annually with continued growth * ERCP: 187+ cases annually with continued growth — ERCP/EUS available but not required * Capsule endoscopy — new service line * 4 procedure rooms with 8 pre- and post-operative holding rooms * Management of GI diseases including liver disease, gallbladder disease, and pancreatic disease * Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy throughout * Advanced imaging including PET scanning, 64-slice CT, and high-definition endoscopy * Bi-weekly tumor boards for breast, PCC, GI, and ENT * Broad surgical referral base including breast, colorectal, and vascular * ACGME-accredited training environment with medical students and residency programs * Research access through academic alignment with hundreds of available protocols * Actively pursuing Commission on Cancer accreditation ## Compensation & Benefits * Base salary: $700,000 (negotiable based on experience level) * wRVU bonuses — income potential $1,000,000+ * Sign-on bonus: $50,000+ * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Supplemental insurance including short and long-term disability, accidental, cancer, and life * Retirement plan with employer match — 4% match with 6% contribution * PSLF-eligible student loan repayment * CME: 5 days annually plus $3,000 allowance — licensure and dues covered * Malpractice insurance provided * Flexible scheduling and generous paid time off ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO — Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology * South Carolina medical license or willingness to obtain * ERCP and EUS — available but not required ## About the Community – Conway, South Carolina * Charming coastal community 10 miles from Myrtle Beach in the heart of the Grand Strand * Cost of living below the national average — approximately 218 sunny days per year * Access to highly rated public and private schools and a Division I university * Mild coastal climate with year-round outdoor recreation * Close proximity to Charleston and surrounding coastal communities * Abundant outdoor recreation including boating, fishing, kayaking, hiking, and golf * Diverse dining options featuring fresh seafood, Southern cuisine, and international flavors * Warm Southern hospitality — a community that feels like home
