A well-established hospital in Central Pennsylvania near Lewisburg, PA is seeking a Locums Gastroenterology Physician to provide 24-hour call coverage with rounding. This assignment offers structured block scheduling, weekday APP support, and solo physician coverage during nights and weekends.

Assignment Overview

• Coverage Type: 24-hour call with rounding

• Schedule: Block assignments starting Friday evening

• APP Support: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Solo Coverage: Nights and weekends

• Rates: Competitive daily all-inclusive 24-hour call rates

Clinical Responsibilities

Weekdays (Monday–Friday):

• 8:00 AM hospital rounding with APP

• Joint review of inpatient cases

• Average 4–6 outpatient endoscopy procedures daily

  • Primarily screening colonoscopies

• On call throughout the day and evening

Weekends:

• Call coverage

• Hospital rounding as needed based on patient volume

Scheduling Requirements

• Blocks must begin Friday at 5:00 PM

• Blocks conclude either:

  • The following Friday at 5:00 PM, or

  • Monday at 8:00 AM (shorter blocks)

Confirmed Dates Needed

• 2/6/26 (5:00 PM) – 2/16/26 (5:00 PM)

• 2/27/26 (5:00 PM) – 3/2/26 (8:00 AM)

• 3/6/26 (5:00 PM) – 3/16/26 (5:00 PM)

• 3/27/26 (5:00 PM) – 3/30/26 (8:00 AM)
