Medicus is partnering with a hospital in eastern Texas with an opening for a Gastroenterologist to provide locum inpatient coverage.
Opening Details:
- Schedule: 24-hour call (7a-7a), specific dates
- Setting: Inpatient only
- Patient Volume: Up to 10 per day
- Duties: Rounding, ER consults, and procedures
- Case Types: Abdominal pain, GI bleed, SBO, food bolus, ulceration, gastritis, and some carcinoma diagnoses
- Required Procedures: Standard GI procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies, plus ERCP
- Support Staff: Endoscopy-trained GI nursing staff for procedures
- EMR: Paragon, switching to Epic
- Must be board-certified or board-eligible
- Paid travel & expenses
