Facility in Lexington, KY seeking lucrative GI locums coverage

Rates: On-Call daily rate $4000 With four hours gratis. $500 an hour after 4 hours. Orientation $150/hour. 1.5X holiday rates.

Opportunity Highlights

Schedule: Full-time block schedule of 14 days per month (7 on/7 off), providing 24-hour call coverage (7a–7a).

High-Acuity Role: 24-hour call includes inpatient coverage, rounding, inpatient procedures, ED call, and consultations.

Workload: Manage 10–20 patients per day, with an average of 10 admissions per night.

Procedure Focus: Must be proficient in bread and butter endo (EGD/Colonoscopy). ERCP is HIGHLY PREFERRED.

Support Staff: Excellent support with 3 dedicated inpatient APPs assisting on the floors, in the ED, and in endoscopy.

EMR: The facility uses Epic.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour coverage for the Gastroenterology service, managing all inpatient needs.

Perform rounding, inpatient procedures, and consultations in the hospital/ED.

Manage a high inpatient census and night admissions.

Perform ERCP procedures (highly preferred) and all bread and butter endoscopy.

Requirements

Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible is REQUIRED.

Licensure: Active KY License is HIGHLY PREFERRED (will consider IMLC).

Procedure: ERCP proficiency is HIGHLY PREFERRED (must state in submission).

Background: Clean Malpractice Record is a REQUIRED dealbreaker for expedited privileges.

Certifications: ACLS and DEA are REQUIRED.

Availability: Availability for the required dates must be confirmed at the time of name clear.
