The Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) gastroenterologist to join our expanding, collegial, and multidisciplinary team in Boise, ID. Job Responsibilities

The selected physician will provide gastroenterology services in both outpatient and inpatient settings, utilizing our fully equipped, high-functioning endoscopy suite and experiencing a very light call burden. Duties will include outpatient procedures (such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and ERCP if trained), gastroenterology clinic, and inpatient consultative services. This role involves both procedural and clinical duties, working collaboratively with other specialists to deliver the best care to Veterans. The position offers an outstanding opportunity for individuals committed to an academic focus, with clinical care, teaching, and research opportunities available. The selected candidate will be considered for a faculty appointment within the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington and will be involved in educating and teaching medical students, residents, and other providers. Our gastroenterology team serves over 30,000 veterans across the spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship preferred, although non-U.S. Citizens may be considered.
Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
Board Certification preferred, but Board Eligibility will also be considered.

Working Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday (with potential for a compressed schedule negotiation)
