Facility:
This well-established medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services to the community with state-of-the-art facilities. The gastroenterology department is supported by a team of 4 physicians and features modern equipment with onsite lab and X-ray services and utilizes the EPIC EMR system.
Opportunity:
Board Certified - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
• Inpatient gastroenterology coverage to start mid-December 2025 until permanent physician placement
• Call structure approximately 1:4 (Friday 4pm-Friday 4pm) covering floor/ED/ICU/emergent consults and endoscopies when needed
• Carry beeper overnight for emergency calls
• Manage 4-12 hospital-based patients per day
• No outpatient responsibilities required
• Perform various required procedures including esophageal dilatation/manometry, esophageal manometry interpretation, small bowel biopsy
• Conduct lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy procedures
• Perform liver biopsies when required
• Upper GI endoscopy capabilities including: diagnostic, therapeutic, with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices, banding of varices, and PEG
• Active Massachusetts medical license required
• BLS certification required
• ERCP certification is a nice to have but not required
• Board Certification preferred
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
