Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist Opportunity

🩺 Inpatient + Outpatient | Clinic | Procedures | Call
Seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for ongoing locum tenens coverage. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide comprehensive GI services in a collaborative and well-supported community hospital setting.
Assignment Highlights:

Ongoing Coverage:

24 Hour call in blocks of 7 days per month including weekends

Day and night call required

Call Schedule:
-
Typically Monday 7 AM – Monday 7 AM or Friday 7 AM – Friday 7 A

Procedure Times:
-
Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Friday: 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM

Practice Setting:
-
Rotation between hospital, ambulatory center, and clinic

EMR Systems:
-
EPIC for clinical documentation
-
Lumens for endoscopy documentation
-
Work Scope:
-
Round on inpatients, perform consults
-
Conduct inpatient and outpatient scopes
-
Manage office visits and follow-ups
-
No ERCP or EUS required
-
Adult patients only (18+)
Support & Team:

Join a collaborative team including:

Medical Director
-
Office Supervisor
-
LPNs, MOAs, and Surgery Schedulers

Requirements:
-
Board Certification: Gastroenterology (Required)

Licensure: Active Pennsylvania medical license (required)

Not accepting candidates needing licensure

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

DEA: Active Pennsylvania DEA license required

Background Checks:

PA State Police Criminal Record Check

Child Abuse Clearance

FBI Criminal History Check

Additional Details:

Privileging timeframe: 60–90 days
