Locum Tenens Gastroenterology Opportunity – Tennessee- Open to Licensure!

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to provide inpatient-only call coverage across two sister facilities in Tennessee (Holston Valley Medical Center & Bristol Regional Medical Center). This opportunity offers consistent block scheduling through 2026, with a focus on endoscopy, inpatient consults, and emergency GI procedures.

Assignment Details

• Coverage Type: 24-hour call (7am – 7am next day)

• Setting: Inpatient only – rounding in mornings, prioritizing critical patients, performing procedures in Main OR (HVMC) or Endo Suite (BRMC)

• Patient Volume: ~8 patients per day

• Facilities: Float pool between Holston Valley Medical Center & Bristol Regional Medical Center

• Support Staff: Endo nurses & OR staff support

• EMR: Epic

• Jun 8–15, Jun 22–29

• Jul 6–13, Jul 20–27

• Aug 3–10, Aug 17–24, Aug 31–Sep 7

• Sep 14–21, Sep 28–Oct 5

• Oct 12–19, Oct 26–Nov 2

• Nov 9–16, Nov 23–30

• Dec 7–14, Dec 21–28

Bristol Regional Medical Center (BRMC):

• Jan 12–19

Requirements

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology – required

• Willing to license for this need. IPL will help with this!

• DEA & BLS- IPL will help with this!

• ERCP experience – required

• Clean background

• Vaccines: Exemptions accepted with appropriate documentation

Additional Details

• Patient Age Group: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

• Case Types: GI bleeds, abdominal pain, food bolus, elevated liver enzymes, general GI, ERCPs

• Privileging Timeframe: ~90 days
