Position Overview
The VA Tampa Healthcare System is seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals providing compassionate, high-quality care to our nation’s veterans. This is a clinical and procedural GI position with opportunities to participate in teaching and quality improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities

Provide outpatient and inpatient consultative gastroenterology care.

Perform a wide range of GI procedures including:

Colonoscopy
-
EGD
-
PEG placement
-
Esophageal manometry (optional)
-
Capsule endoscopy
-

Manage liver disease in collaboration with hepatology.

Participate in multidisciplinary care teams and conferences.

Opportunities to teach residents and fellows from affiliated academic programs.
Candidate Qualifications
-
U.S. Citizenship (required)
-
MD or DO from accredited medical school
-
Board Certified / Eligible in Gastroenterology
-
Active and unrestricted medical license (in any U.S. state)

Fellowship training in Gastroenterology (required)

ERCP/EUS experience preferred but not required
