Gastroenterology Locum Opportunity – Ballad Health (Tennessee)- Ongoing dates through the end of 2026!

Ballad Health is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to provide locum coverage across two sister facilities in Tennessee. This is a great ongoing opportunity with consistent block scheduling, supportive staff, and a busy practice environment.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: November 3, 2025

• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage (7:00 am – 7:00 am, one-week blocks)

• Facilities: Holston Valley Medical Center (HVMC) & Bristol Regional Medical Center (BRMC)

• Duration: Ongoing

Sample Block Schedule:

• HVMC: Jan 5–12, Jan 19–26, Feb 2–9, Feb 16–23, Mar 2–9, Mar 16–23, Mar 30–Apr 6, and ongoing biweekly blocks through Dec 2025

• BRMC: Jan 12–19, Feb 9–16, Mar 23–30, Apr 20–27, May 18–25 (future dates TBD)

Practice Setting:

• Level 3 Trauma Center

• Daily Patient Census: ~5–8

• Coverage for: GI bleeds, abdominal pain, food bolus, elevated liver enzymes, etc.

• Procedures: All general GI and ERCP required

• Worksites: Endoscopy suite and main OR

• Support: OR and in-house Endo nursing team

• EMR: Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Gastroenterology (Required)

• Licensure: Active Tennessee License or Active IMLC Letter of Qualification- we will help with the TN license!

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, DEA (Required)

• Procedures: Must be well-experienced in ERCP

• Other: Vaccine exemptions accepted with proper medical documentation

Additional Details:

• Patient Age Range: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics

• Beds: 300-350 at each facility

• Privileging timeframe: ~90 days
