Job description
This opportunity is ideal for a general gastroenterologist who is looking to join a stable, well-supported practice with access to state-of-the-art technology and a dedicated Endoscopy unit. The position is outpatient and inpatient combined, with a light call rotation and opportunities for advanced procedures. You’ll be part of a collaborative, collegial team serving a growing patient population.
Job Responsibilities
Perform routine and advanced GI procedures (colonoscopy, endoscopy, etc.)
Provide inpatient consults and outpatient clinic care
Participate in call rotation (1:7)
Collaborate with a team of GI physicians, CRNAs, and anesthesiologists
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EPIC EMR system
Participate in quality improvement and continuing medical education activities
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
Eligible for or holding an active South Carolina medical license
Fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology
Excellent clinical and communication skills
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
Working Hours
Fridays: Practice closes early (half-day)
Call: 1 in 7 rotation (light call with strong support)
No evening or weekend clinic hours
Skills
Ability to manage both acute and chronic GI conditions
Strong interpersonal and team collaboration abilities
Comfortable using EPIC or similar electronic medical records
Dedication to continuous improvement and lifelong learning
