Job description
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Duration: Ongoing until permanent provider is hired
Schedule: Weekdays, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (no nights or weekends)
Availability Needed: Minimum 2 weeks per month preferred; full-time also considered
Key Details:

Setting: Inpatient only (Gastroenterology hospitalist model)

Patient Load: Approximately 5 patients per day

Call: None
-
Support Staff: 1 RN, 2 MAs, 2 PAs/NPs, 8 office staff

EMR: Epic
-
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days
Required Qualifications:
-
Board Certification in Gastroenterology
-
GI Fellowship required
-
Active Washington State license or IMLC accepted
-
ACLS and BLS certifications
Procedures Required:
-
Upper GI endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery, variceal injection)
-
Colonoscopy (biopsy, polyp excision)
-
Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
-
PEG placement
-
Esophageal dilation and manometry
-
ERCP and EUS preferred
-
Liver biopsy and management of Sengstaken-Blakemore tubes preferred
