A thriving multispecialty practice in southern New Mexico is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join their well-established, patient-focused GI team. This is a 100% outpatient position with a mix of clinic and in-office procedures, serving a growing referral base of 40–60 providers. This opportunity offers a great quality of life and access to one of the most scenic outdoor regions in the state.
Job Responsibilities
Perform a variety of in-office procedures including hemorrhoid banding, FibroScan, and PillCam
Access to block time for advanced GI procedures in four ORs
Perform outpatient surgeries at an on-site surgery center
Collaborate closely with referring physicians and support staff
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system
Participate in community outreach as desired
Qualifications
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Gastroenterology
Eligible for licensure in the state of New Mexico
Fellowship training in Gastroenterology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
New grads and visa candidates welcome
Working Hours
No inpatient or hospital rounding responsibilities
15–20 patient visits per day
Skills
Ability to perform and interpret GI-specific tests and screenings
Comfort with outpatient procedural care
Team-based care and collaborative approach
EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
