Location: Cape Coral, FL (Gulf Coast Region)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing through end of year
Credentialing Timeframe: ~30 days
Schedule & Coverage:

Shift: Daily 24-hour inpatient call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

Frequency: Minimum 1 full week/month

Call: Nightly or every other night (varies by site)

Site Coverage: One location/day — no mid-day travel; flexibility across sites preferred
Duties & Volume:
-
Inpatient GI hospitalist coverage
-
Consults, follow-ups, and procedures (scopes)
-
Patient Volume: 10–20 patients/day
Required Procedures:
-
Colonoscopy
-
Endoscopy
-
ERCP – Required
-
EUS – Preferred (minimum 24 EUS in last 36 months incl. mucosal/submucosal, pancreaticobiliary, FNA)
Support Provided:
-
Advanced Practice Providers
-
Fully staffed endoscopy unit
-
General hospital support
Requirements:
-
Active FL Medical License
-
Board Certified in Gastroenterology
-
Clean NPDB and background
-
Must meet procedure log thresholds:
-
≥50 inpatient/consult patients in past 12 months
-
Documented ERCP experience
