RecruitWell is working with a hospital in South Florida seeking a dedicated Gastroenterology (GI) Hospitalist to join their dynamic inpatient care team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive evaluation and management of hospitalized patients with acute and complex gastrointestinal conditions. The ideal candidate is a collaborative clinician who thrives in a fast?paced environment, values multidisciplinary teamwork, and is committed to delivering high?quality, patient?centered care.
As a GI Hospitalist, you will oversee inpatient consults, manage GI?related admissions, perform necessary bedside procedures, and coordinate care with the broader GI and hospital medicine teams. This position offers a balanced schedule, strong institutional support, and the opportunity to practice advanced, evidence?based medicine within a well?established GI service line.
Clinical Role:
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
Schedule: Shift Model 7 on, 7 off (24-hour shift)
Patient Volume: 20- 30 patients per day
Call Responsibilities: Yes, by phone
Availability to take consults by phone when not at hospital (post 6pm)
Consults: yes, in-patient and ED
Procedures: yes, bedside and/or endoscopy suite (Bread & Butter)
Support: work alongside other physicians, mid-level(s) and medical staff
EMR: Cerner (moving to EPIC in 2027)
Qualifications:
Board-certified/Eligible Internal Medicine & Gastroenterology
Fellowship Trained, Required in Gastroenterology
Ability to obtain Florida Board-certified Internal Medicine
