**Gastroenterologist Opening - Michigan City, IN** Located 60 miles from Chicago H1B eligible **Position Details** - Full-time, permanent - Physician Schedule: 3 - 4 half days in clinic, 3 - 4 half days in surgery, 1 full day off - Physician Call 1:5 - Physician takes 1 full week call (Friday 8:00 a.m. - Friday 8:00 a.m.), no clinic during call week only hospital procedures and front-line call coverage - Call Friday to Thursday, Rotating Holidays - Average Patient Volumes: Half Day Clinic 12 15, Half Day Surgery 8 10 - Practice shares 3 RNs, dedicated MA support for every physician, 2 surgery schedulers in-house - Outreach Required: Clinics in LaPorte, Chesterton, Valparaiso (all within 30 minutes commute) - Potential Virtual Visits - Shared collaboration between physician for APPs in group * Hospital based Nurse Practitioner sees new consults and rounding ahead of physicians * Clinic based Nurse Practitioner - Strong mentorship available from senior physician leadership - Strong referral base:  On average 75 -100 per week for general GI - In-Network Oncology Services offering full spectrum, wrap around services - New construction and services being offered - Onsite Equipment:  BRAVO, Pill Cam, Fibroscan, - HD Motility and EndoFlip located at the Surgicenter - Advanced endoscopist in the group offering EUS and a wide range of pancreaticobiliary interventions. **Compensation/Benefits** - Health Group strives to create a flexible and realistic work-life balance for our providers.
