Job description
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Gastroenterologist with an IBD focus to join an established Center for IBD practice located in downtown Dallas, Texas. The expanding multidisciplinary IBD team is led by an IBD Medical Director and includes Advanced Practitioners, Registered Dietitian, RN navigator and a comprehensive clinical care team. The practice is experiencing significant growth and has an excellent tertiary-referral base to the IBD clinic, comprised of employed and affiliated PCPs, GI providers and colorectal surgeons. Opportunity Highlights
- Comprehensive, integrated IBD Center comprised of IBD and colorectal specialists, a dedicated 4-chair infusion center for IBD patients, on-site laboratory, and shared medical/surgical office space to streamline care and enhance team collaboration
- Highly collaborative multidisciplinary model, including biweekly IBD conferences and close partnership with colorectal surgery, pathology, radiology, and hospital-based specialties
- Patient-centered care environment designed to support coordinated, high-quality outcomes for complex IBD patients
- Advanced endoscopic expertise, including chromoendoscopy, single-balloon enteroscopy, and needle-knife sphincterotomy for intestinal strictures
- Innovation and program growth, including the launch of an intestinal ultrasound program
- Strong academic mission, with faculty appointments and active involvement in training GI fellows at Baylor University Medical Center and DFW-area programs with limited IBD exposure
- Strong clinical research focus, with opportunities in sponsored and investigator-initiated trials, SPARC longitudinal study participation sponsored by Crohn and Colitis Foundation
- Ideal candidate is a dedicated, collaborative physician with a strong work and/or IBD training background, committed to exemplary clinical care who possesses an interest in education and/or clinical research and fostering positive relationships with referring providers

QUALIFICATIONS
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine
- Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
- Where Applicable- Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
