Less than an hour from Charlotte, and minutes to Spartanburg!
Joining a group practice, you will be employed by one of the largest physician run medical groups in the country.
Currently 6 family physicians and 1 midlevel work at this Medical Park. All the FP’s have practiced in our town since leaving residency programs and have practiced at this location since 1997.
All physicians’ practices are basically at capacity. The office has full service lab and plain film x-ray. While the 6 physicians make building decisions as a group, the physicians are divided within the building into 3 separate offices. Currently there is a 3 physician group, a 2 physician group and a 1 physician/1 mid-level group; you will be replacing one of the physicians in the 2 physician group.
Outpatient only practice with hospitalist coverage for all admissions to local hospitals. Call is 1 in 5 and only involves answering phone calls of patients currently seen in our practice. We are responsible for accepting office referrals from the local Hospital emergency room for outpatient services. This is on a rotating basis with other local primary care physicians.
One of our physicians has decided to accept a full time teaching position with the family practice residency nearby. He has practiced with us over the past 5 years. The physician who joins the practice would assume care of a large patient base and would also benefit from the fact that our community is underserved as far as primary care physicians.
