First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking to employ a family medicine physician for a new practice location.The practice is located in a highly desirable area on the West Coast of Florida. The community has top rated schools, a downtown area with shops and restaurants and lots of activities for people of all ages. Sarasota Memorial is also building a state-of-the-art 110 bed hospital in Venice, which will open in October 2021.

Highlights of the position:

• Outpatient only. New physician will join two other experienced family medicine physicians and one APRN in this location.
• Physicians will see approximately 15-18 patients per day in the office.
• Patient population is a mix of children (ages 5 and up) to older adult.
• No hospital call. Night and weekend practice coverage will be shared with 7 other physicians in the area. .
• Stable group in existence for 25+ years. Physician retention and satisfaction are high in the group.
• Board Certified in Family Medicine preferred, but we will consider Board Eligible if within 3 years of completing training.
• As an employee of a public, State of Florida organization, physicians are entitled to sovereign immunity.
• We are a not-for-profit entity. Physicians can participate in the PSLF program if employed by FPG.

Employment contracts include a generous 2 year guaranteed salary with bonus potential along with excellent comprehensive benefits - health, dental, vision, disability, life, 403B Retirement Plan, CME, PTO, and 7 paid holidays among many other benefits. After two years, physician can move to a pay model which guarantees a higher salary. Relocation assistance and other perks will be provided.
