First Physicians Group is seeking to employ a board-certified Family Medicine physician for an established practice in North Port, Florida. North Port is one of the fastest growing communities in Florida with tremendous growth potential for physicians practicing in this area. Sarasota Memorial Hospital operates a busy 22 bed free-standing emergency room in North Port in the same building as the outpatient clinic.

North Port is the largest city in Sarasota County. It continues to grow and prosper adding services and entertainment being driven by its ever-growing population. It’s still the most affordable city within the county offering a wide variety of housing options. The West Villages in North Port is the home of the Atlanta Braves Spring Training Complex. This is an amazing facility, flanked by multiple minor league ball fields and home to players from all around the world who train and play all year round.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Ideal candidate will see approximately 18 patients per day in the clinic. Inpatient admissions will be covered by FPGs Hospitalist group at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, and newborns are covered by an FPG IM/PEDS group. Clinic hours are flexible but typically run from 8:00am-5:00pm. Weekend call will be 1:3 in North Port and only requires being available by phone for a low volume of calls. Patient base is a mix of pediatrics and adults, so candidates must be willing to see newborns through older adults.

The office is fully staffed with nurses, a practice manager and many other support staff to handle the day-to-day operations and is equipped with Intergy as the EHR.
