Locums | Family Medicine Hospitalist | Clinton, NC (Active NC license required) Why This Role

  • Overnight shifts, 8p–8a
  • Approximately 8–10 shifts/month
  • Adult, pediatric, and newborn care
  • Hospital-owned lodging provided
  • BC/BE Family Medicine welcome
Assignment Details Start/end: January 18 – April 30, 2027 Duration: Approximately 12 weeks of coverage anticipated Schedule: Approximately 8–10 shifts/month Shift hours: 8p–8a Coverage type: Overnight Hospitalist Coverage Setting: Inpatient, including open ICU and newborn nursery Patient population: Adults, pediatrics, and newborns Census: Approximately 30–35 patients shared with another provider Responsibilities: Overnight rounding, admissions, and hospital code response Support: Consulting specialists in Cardiology, Nephrology, and Oncology EMR: Meditech 6.1 Credentialing: Approximately 10 days; temporary privileges available Clinical Details Adult inpatient Hospital Medicine Pediatric inpatient and newborn nursery care Newborn resuscitation Open ICU patient management Ventilator management and intubations EKG interpretation Overnight admissions and rounding Hospital emergency/code response Preferred: Central and arterial line placement Preferred: Elective cardioversion and lumbar puncture Preferred: Paracentesis and thoracentesis Preferred: Minor laceration repair and incision and drainage Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine Within 3 years of completing residency Active North Carolina medical license required NRP certification required Newborn resuscitation proficiency required Experience managing adult, pediatric, and newborn patients Ventilator management and intubation proficiency EKG interpretation and hospital code response experience Comfortable practicing in an open ICU Availability for approximately 8–10 overnight shifts/month ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS listed as required; confirmation pending Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed Hospital-owned apartments available
