The Department of Family Medicine is a nationally recognized leader in Family Medicine education, housed within a 120,000 sq. ft. facility and offering comprehensive primary care services across all age groups, including geriatrics, sports medicine, obstetrical care, nutrition services, counseling, and psychological support within an integrated care model.Opportunity:
MD, DO - Family Medicine : AcademicJob Details:
- Board-eligible or board-certified Family Medicine physician sought for a fixed-term or tenure-track academic position
- Outpatient clinical responsibilities required; inpatient responsibilities are negotiable
- Monday through Friday work week with no weekend requirements
- Patient care activities include ambulatory direct patient care for an assigned panel of patients as well as patients of other providers
- Precepting responsibilities for residents included as part of clinical duties
- Hospital patient care includes bedside teaching of residents, medical students, and PA students
- Medical student teaching may include didactic instruction one to two afternoons per week in Foundations of Doctoring or other courses
- Strong emphasis on teaching, mentoring, advising, and supervision of residents, medical students, and other learners
- Opportunities available to develop administrative and scholarship skills

- Required certifications: ACLS and BCLS
