Job description
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to provide care in a State Hospital serving Mental Health patients. You will deliver comprehensive medical services including direct patient care, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinicians. This is a great role for Physicians with strong clinical and management skills to serve a vulnerable population in a high quality clinical environment.
Pay: $150-$154 / hour 1099
Location: Vernon, TX
Setting: State Hospital, Behavioral Health
Position Type: 13-week Contract (to start)
Shift: M-F, 8a-5p
Job Responsibilities
• Diagnose and manage conditions including hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, asthma, and other common medical and orthopedic conditions
• Collaborate with NPs, Therapists, Specialists & other care providers
• Coordinate referrals and specialty care service
• Health teaching & promotion
Qualifications
• Active DEA Registration
• 1+ year of experience in Family
