OPEN POSITION:
Physician - Internal or Family Medicine
SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am to 4:30pm
- No Weekends
- No Evenings
- No Holidays
- No On-Call
COMPENSATION:
- 1099 Position
- $150 per Hour without provided housing
- $140 per Hour with provided housing
- Malpractice Coverage
LOCATION:
Phoenix, Arizona
COMPANY PROFILE:
This position is with an Indian Health Service clinic located in the greater Phoenix, Arizona, area. The new provider will join a team of compassionate, experienced clinicians dedicated to serving this vulnerable patient population.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The primary care physician provides a full scope of outpatient primary care services to patients in either an internal medicine or family medicine capacity. This includes, but is not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance.
Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- review patient histories
- perform physical examinations
- evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care
- refer patients to specialists as needed
- review test results and recommend management
- prescribe medications
- formulate treatment and disease management plans
- communicate with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of care
Primary care physicians see a variable number of patients per day, based upon type of appointment and patient needs. All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.
The practice utilizes an EHR.
If the physician lives more than 60 miles from the clinic location, the organization will provide fully paid and furnished housing near the office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- active medical license (any state)
- DEA
- Board Eligibility / Certification, Internal or Family Medicine
- 2+ years practice experience
