Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Primary Care Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Dorchester, Massachusetts. This outpatient assignment offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered primary care in a collaborative practice with a focus on preventive medicine and chronic disease management.
Compensation: $140 Per Hour
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Perform annual wellness visits, preventive screenings, and routine health maintenance.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate specialty referrals when appropriate.
- Manage chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, COPD, asthma, and hyperlipidemia.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing, and support staff to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active Massachusetts medical license
- Current DEA registration
- Current BLS certification
