Staff Pharmacist Opportunity - Dover-Foxcroft, ME
Full-Time | Permanent | Outpatient & Community Health Pharmacy
Pay Rate: $135,000.00 / year
Position Details
* Outpatient Pharmacy opening assisting leadership in daily clinical and dispensing operations in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine
* Collaborate with executive pharmacy management to optimize workflows, promote expanding clinical services, and maximize health system revenue channels
* Direct day-to-day operations and supervise pharmacy technician staff with a focus on medication management and financial stewardship
* Partner with leadership to resolve operational challenges, drive quality measurement initiatives, and execute health system strategic objectives
* Maintain strict adherence to organizational policies, practice standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory compliance
* Competitive annual salary starting at $125,000.00 (commensurate with background and experience)
Position Responsibilities
* Oversee the safe preparation, dispensing, and distribution of prescription medications according to state and federal regulations
* Guide, manage, and mentor support personnel and pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care
* Participate in departmental continuous quality improvement (CQI) programs and clinical outcome evaluations
* Assist in inventory control, cost containment, and overall financial management within the pharmacy department
* Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, interactions, and disease management strategies
* Foster a collaborative environment aligned with organizational mission, values, and clinical excellence goals
Candidate Qualifications
* Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) from an accredited ACGME/ACPE pharmacy school
* Active, unrestricted Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in the State of Maine (or eligible to obtain)
* Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy operations, inventory controls, and healthcare regulatory compliance
* Strong supervisory, operational management, and leadership skills
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a strong dedication to patient outcomes and collaborative team practice
