An innovative, integrated primary care practice is seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join its team in Old Fourth Ward, Atlanta.
This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who wants to provide meaningful outpatient care without the demands of a high-volume, call-heavy practice.
The practice takes a whole-person approach to primary care, bringing together physicians, APPs, behavioral health providers, nutrition professionals, nurses, and care coordinators to support patients' medical, behavioral, preventive, and lifestyle needs.

Clinical Leadership – Optional
Physicians interested in leadership can provide clinical consultation, mentorship, and oversight to APP colleagues.
The practice has up to 8 APPs available for supervision per medical board, although the number of APPs supervised is based on the physician's preference and capacity.
Additional compensation is available for APP supervision.
This allows physicians who enjoy leadership to expand their role while maintaining a manageable outpatient clinical schedule.
Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
Provide comprehensive primary care across the adult patient population.
Perform preventive visits, annual wellness exams, and appropriate screenings.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's clinical needs and goals.
Order and interpret diagnostic testing.
Manage medications and monitor treatment effectiveness.
Coordinate specialty and hospital care when appropriate.
Build long-term relationships with patients through continuity of care.
Incorporate behavioral health, nutrition, lifestyle, and preventive strategies.
Collaborate with nurses, APPs, behavioral health professionals, nutrition specialists, and care coordinators.
Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives.
Support evidence-based clinical standards and care processes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Athena EMR.
Qualifications
Required:
MD or DO degree
Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Active, unrestricted Georgia medical license or ability to obtain
Current DEA registration
Current BLS certification or ability to obtain
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Commitment to patient-centered outpatient medicine
Preferred:
2+ years of outpatient primary care experience after residency
Experience collaborating with or mentoring APPs
Medicare enrollment or eligibility
Experience in interdisciplinary or value-based care
Interest in preventive medicine, population health, and whole-person care
