A community health center in the Fortuna, California area, in the Redwood Empire of Humboldt County, needs a family or internal medicine physician for an ongoing locum assignment starting as soon as possible. $160 an hour, Monday to Friday, 8 to 5, with no call. Your travel, lodging, and expenses are covered.

Job Responsibilities

Outpatient primary care for a mix of pediatric and adult patients, at least 18 patients a day, including some chronic pain management. You close your charts within 72 hours. You work with a nurse and 2 medical assistants, and the EMR is Epic. The nearest airport is Arcata, and housing is arranged through local corporate housing providers.

Qualifications

Board certified in family medicine or internal medicine. DOs are accepted, and a board eligible physician will be considered if truly within 5 years of residency. An active California license, required. An active DEA before your start date. BLS. A CV with months and dates for all work history and every gap explained. Credentialing takes 60 days or more, and the client requires vaccine documentation, including a current flu shot, TB status, MMR, Hep B, varicella, and Tdap.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. No call. Start as soon as possible, ongoing.
