Job description
Cherokee Nation Health Services Clinic seeks an MD/DO with training in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine to treat patients at an all-ages Primary Care clinic in Tahlequah, OK, located in northeastern Oklahoma.
-Full-time Hours, with shifts between 7am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday
-8 or 10 hour days. No OT. No Call.
-1 hr lunch
-16-18 pts scheduled per 8 hour day
-The patient load, after some orientation, would be ramped up to 18-24 scheduled patient appointments a day.
-90-day assignment with option to extend or accept full-time employment
- Experience working in a tribal health or rural health setting is a plus but not required.
-Support staff includes a dedicated LPN for rooming, Clinical Assistant and RN for general referral management, as well as Nursing Case Managers for patients being treated for chronic care needs such as diabetes, women's health and cancer care.
-Electronic Health Records: Cerner with the option to utilize a Digital Clinical Assistant, that is embedded in the EMR for assistance with charting.
-May require additional time for completion of medical records, training and staff meetings
-Credentialing timeframe: 6-8 weeks
Compensation and Benefits:
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor Opportunity. Hourly compensation based on experience and other factors. Complimentary Medical Malpractice Coverage Provided. Travel reimbursement may be available and factored into overall compensation.
Qualifications
-OK State Medical License
- BLS, ACLS and PALS required
