Position Overview

We are seeking a Primary Care Physician to join an established, mission-driven community health organization in Memphis, Tennessee. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who wants to practice comprehensive, patient-centered medicine while making a meaningful impact in an underserved community.

The physician will provide evidence-based primary care across the lifespan while working alongside an interdisciplinary team that includes advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health professionals, pharmacists, and care coordinators.

The organization is a faith-based FQHC with a longstanding commitment to improving healthcare access throughout the Memphis community. Its integrated model brings together primary care, behavioral health, pharmacy, dental, and specialty services to address patients' healthcare needs comprehensively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care across the lifespan
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
  • Promote preventive care, chronic disease management, and population health
  • Manage an established patient panel while supporting continuity and access to care
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary clinical team
  • Provide clinical mentorship and oversight to advanced practice providers when appropriate
  • Participate in quality improvement, peer review, PCMH, HRSA, UDS, and care-gap initiatives
  • Participate in team meetings, huddles, and interdisciplinary case discussions
  • Support telehealth, same-day access, community outreach, and provider education when applicable

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Active, unrestricted Tennessee medical license
  • DEA certification
  • BLS certification
  • Community health, FQHC, or underserved population experience preferred
