These openings offer a mix of traditional outpatient Family Medicine roles and optional academic/faculty opportunities for physicians interested in teaching residents.

Faculty Opportunities (Michigan City & Valparaiso Only)

Physicians interested in academic medicine will have the opportunity to:

• Teach and mentor Family Medicine residents

• Participate in residency program activities

• Assist with resident evaluations and recruitment

• Combine clinical practice with academic involvement

Core Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Family Medicine care for patients across the lifespan

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions

• Perform wellness visits and preventive screenings

• Coordinate care with specialists and interdisciplinary teams

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

• Collaborate with behavioral health and support services teams

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Completion of Family Medicine residency program

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine

• Active or eligible Indiana medical license

• DEA certification

• CPR certification

• Strong communication and patient-centered care skills

Preferred

• Prior outpatient or community health experience

• Interest in teaching/residency training for faculty-track positions

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative care environment
