Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: Full-time permanent placement; rotational 24-hour call coverage including weekends; shared neonatal call as part of physician leadership team
- Job Setting: Level IIIB NICU
- Types of Cases:
- High-acuity neonatal intensive care
- High-frequency ventilation
- Nitric oxide therapy
- Collaboration with maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric surgery
- Practice Medical Director responsibilities: include clinical operations, quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and program development
- Academic responsibilities: teaching medical students, pediatric and family medicine residents, Grand Rounds, simulation Boot Camps, mentoring in QI and research
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified in Neonatology required (MD or DO); Board Eligible candidates not accepted
- Certifications: Board Certified in Neonatology
- Licensure: Virginia Medical License (or willingness to obtain); DEA required prior to start

- Leadership experience in NICU or clinical program development required
