Hartford HealthCare is seeking an Academic/Faculty Internal Medicine Physician for a Full-time teaching position with our Outpatient Internal Medicine Faculty Clinic in the southwestern Connecticut city of Bridgeport. This large, teaching, outpatient clinic adjacent to St. Vincent’s Medical Center cares for adult patients and is affiliated with the Netter’s School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. Candidates interested in resident teaching are strongly preferred.

Position Overview
St. Vincent’s Medical Center, in partnership with Southwest Family Health Center, is seeking a Primary Care Faculty Physician to join the Internal Medicine Residency Program clinic in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This is an outstanding opportunity for a physician interested in teaching, mentorship, and academic medicine while maintaining a strong clinical focus—without the responsibility of managing an independent patient panel.
Faculty physicians oversee patient care in collaboration with internal medicine residents and play a key role in shaping the next generation of physicians within a supportive, academically rich environment.
Position Highlights
- 90% Clinical Precepting / 10% Administrative
- Approx. ½-day per week protected admin time
- No independent patient panel - Clinical work is performed with residents predominantly
- Monday–Friday schedule, No weekends
- No call
- Academic faculty appointment at the Quinnipiac University Frank H. Netter School of Medicine
- Base Salary Range: $250,000 - $270,000
- Sign-On Bonus, Relocation and Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employer
Clinical Setting
- Residency continuity clinic located at Southwest Community Health Center

Candidate Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license (or eligible)
