Job description
Practice Value-Based Care With NO RVUs, Corpus Christi, Texas
Do you miss having the time to truly listen, educate, and help people improve their health? At Health by Design, we've built a practice model that allows physicians to focus on what matters most—caring for patients.
Our value-based primary care model eliminates the pressure of RVUs and high-volume schedules, replacing them with meaningful patient relationships, collaborative care, and the time to practice thoughtful medicine.
We are currently seeking a Family or Internal Medicine Physician to join our exceptional care team at our clinic located in Corpus Christi, Texas. In this role, you’ll provide comprehensive primary care to Driscoll Hospital employees and their adult dependents. “Healthcare Professionals taking care of Healthcare Professionals.”
Practice Medicine—Not Production Medicine
Forget the pressure of seeing 25-30 patients every day. Our physicians see an average of 8-14 patients daily, allowing you to provide comprehensive, personalized care instead of rushing from room to room.
- 30- and 60-minute appointments
- Smaller patient panels
- Time to educate patients
- Time to build relationships
- Time to focus on prevention and long-term wellness
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Promote wellness and preventive care
- Coordinate specialty referrals when appropriate
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing

A True Collaborative Care Team
You are never expected to manage everything on your own. Our integrated care model surrounds both physicians and patients with an experienced care team that works together every day with an experienced support staff of Registered Nurses.
Work-Life Balance Isn't a Buzzword Here - We believe great physicians deserve lives outside the clinic.
- Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- No evenings, No weekends, No call, No after-hours charting
- Dedicated administrative time built into every day (Administrative time is intentionally built into both your morning and afternoon schedule, allowing documentation to be completed during your workday—not after dinner.)
Rather than simply treating disease, you'll help patients improve their health through:
- Lifestyle Medicine
- Preventive Care
- Chronic Disease Management
- Nutrition Education
- Mental Health Counseling
- Patient Education
Requirements:
- MD or DO from an accredited U.S. Medical School
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family or Internal Medicine
