Description
Noor Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician for an outpatient primary care opportunity in Ketchikan, Alaska. This assignment offers a straightforward Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with no call, making it an attractive option for physicians seeking predictable daytime hours in a unique Alaska setting.
The physician will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with an average volume of approximately 16–18 patients per day. The practice is outpatient and does not require inpatient rounding or admissions.
The assignment is expected to begin November 23, 2026, with the potential for continued coverage based on approval.
Job Responsibilities
Care for patients across the full age spectrum
Manage approximately 16–18 patients per day
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat common acute and chronic conditions
Provide preventive and routine primary care
Work independently in an outpatient clinic setting
Document patient encounters using Epic EMR
Collaborate with clinic staff and other healthcare professionals as needed
No inpatient rounding or admissions required
No call responsibilities
Qualifications
Active Alaska medical license preferred
Physicians without an Alaska license may be considered and are eligible for licensing support
BLS certification required
Epic experience required
Applicant must demonstrate involvement as an admitting physician for at least 20 patients during the previous two years
Must meet applicable credentialing and privileging requirements
