A physician-friendly nonprofit Critical Access Hospital in Colorado is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join its growing primary care team.
This opportunity is ideal for a physician seeking clinical autonomy, meaningful patient relationships, excellent work-life balance, and a long-term pathway into physician leadership.
The physician will have the opportunity to practice comprehensive Family Medicine in a supportive rural healthcare environment while working alongside an experienced clinical team.
A defined pathway toward a future Medical Director role is available for physicians interested in leadership and organizational growth.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat patients across the lifespan
Manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Provide preventive healthcare
Participate in inpatient rounding
Coordinate care with specialists and other providers
Educate patients and families
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with physicians, NPs, nursing, and support staff
Contribute to the continued development of rural healthcare services
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
Eligible for Colorado medical licensure
DEA license or ability to obtain
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to patient-centered, community-based care
Interest in long-term professional growth
Working Hours
Choice of 5-day workweek or 4x10 schedule
Approximately 12–13 patients per day
Low-volume call approximately 1 week every 3 weeks
