Locums – Flatiron District, Manhattan, New York, Primary Care Physician Job

Clinical Role:

• Locum tenens job opening

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible family medicine or internal medicine physician

• Ability to see all ages or adults only

• Must have post-training experience

• ASAP start with ongoing coverage needed

• Initial assignment: Four months

• Locum-to-permanent opportunity available

• Credentialing typically takes 2–3 weeks, provided the physician is enrolled in both New York Medicaid and Medicare

• Outpatient-only practice

• No call or hospital responsibilities

• Open to physicians available 4–5 weekdays per week

• Schedule options: 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

• Eight working hours per day, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch

• See approximately 20–25 patients per day

• Appointment lengths:

  • Follow-up visits: 15 minutes

  • New patient visits: 30 minutes

• Work alongside three other primary care physicians

• Team-based environment with RN support, a dedicated MA (1:1), and an APP

• APP sees walk-in patients and practices independently

• Onsite specialties and services include:

  • Primary care

  • Ophthalmology

  • Optometry

  • Gynecology

  • Licensed clinical social work

• Patient population includes commercially insured, Medicaid, and Medicare patients, as well as underserved communities

• EMR: Epic

• Travel, lodging, and mileage reimbursement are not provided
