Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive primary care services in a rural community in Fredericksburg, TX.
This opportunity allows the physician to build long term relationships with patients, improve access to quality healthcare, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team focused on patient centered, evidence based care.
Job Responsibilities
• Diagnose, treat & manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans & prescribe medications as appropriate
• Refer patients to specialists & ancillary services when needed
• Review & follow up on laboratory, imaging & diagnostic test results
• Educate patients & families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans & preventive healthcare
• Provide continuity of care for assigned patients
• Maintain accurate & complete medical documentation in the EHR
• Participate in scheduled clinic sessions, including occasional extended hour clinics
• Collaborate with other physicians to support excellent patient outcomes
Leadership & Team Collaboration
• Work closely with nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health providers & other healthcare professionals
• Serve as a mentor & clinical resource for staff and students
• Support quality improvement, compliance & risk management initiatives
• Participate in development & review of clinical policies, protocols & standing orders
• Contribute to community health programs, wellness initiatives & educational events
• Promote a positive, collaborative & patient centered culture
Qualifications
• Current, unrestricted Texas Physician License
• Current DEA & DPS registrations
• Certifications required to practice medicine in Texas
• Current BLS or CPR certification for healthcare professionals
• Compliance with applicable CME requirements
• Hospital privileges at designated area hospitals when required by specialty or location
Working Hours
• Scheduled clinic sessions
• Occasional extended hour clinics

Skills
• Understanding of patient centered care principles
• Knowledge of medical terminology & accepted abbreviations
• Working knowledge of the Texas Medical Practice Act
• Strong clinical documentation skills

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Proficiency with computers & EHR systems
