She Recruits is partnering with a highly respected healthcare organization to identify a Medical Director for an established inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician with rehabilitation experience or a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician who enjoys combining patient care with clinical leadership. The Medical Director will work alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team to help guide patient care, support quality initiatives, and contribute to the continued growth of the rehabilitation program.

This position offers the ideal balance of leadership responsibility and direct patient care with a highly flexible schedule, strong APP support, and a manageable patient census.

Position Highlights

• Part-time Medical Director opportunity

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical management for patients admitted to the inpatient rehabilitation hospital.
• Conduct admissions, follow-up evaluations, and ongoing medical management.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation physicians, APPs, nursing staff, therapists, case management, and hospital leadership.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and care planning.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.
• Provide Medical Director oversight to promote quality, compliance, and patient safety.
• Mentor and collaborate with clinical staff to maintain exceptional patient outcomes.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Help support the continued growth and success of the rehabilitation program.

Qualifications

Required

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in:
  • Internal Medicine (with rehabilitation experience), or
  • Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
• Active Wisconsin Medical License or ability to obtain
• Active DEA registration
• Wisconsin Controlled Substance Registration (or ability to obtain)
• Previous Medical Director, Program Director, or physician leadership experience
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Preferred

• Prior inpatient rehabilitation experience
• Experience leading interdisciplinary clinical teams
• Quality improvement and program development experience
• Strong collaborative leadership style
